Container Security Lock CR 10
APPLICATION
The CR 10 is a bolt lock designed for steel containers with hinged doors, such as shipping containers, material containers, and swap bodies. It can also be used with sliding doors and barn doors.
CONSTRUCTION
This security lock consists of a two-part housing (protective tube) made from extremely resilient steel (left door wing/right door wing). A special welding process ensures a high level of security, and all parts are corrosion-protected. The housing is additionally coated with a silver-light gray paint layer. A plastic lamella serves as weather protection for the padlock.
LOCK
The package includes the ABUS Granit 37RK/70HB100 padlock with a specially hardened lock body and shackle. Corrosion protection is ensured by a high-quality KTL coating. The removable shackle's double-ball locking system provides a tensile resistance of at least 8 tons. The padlock complies with CEN Class 5 and SSF 4 requirements. It features a replaceable ABUS Plus-7 disc cylinder with approximately 200,000 different key variations. The key can only be removed when the lock is closed (key-retaining).
SECURITY
The CR 10 container security lock is recognized by VdS (M115311) and meets the specific requirements of insurance companies.
INSTALLATION
The CR 10 security lock is fastened to the container doors after two holes have been drilled. The following tools are required for installation:
- Tape measure
- Spirit level
- Scribing tool or similar
- Drill
- Metal drill bit Ø 4 mm
- Hole saw Ø 25 mm
- 2 spanners SW36
A minimum distance of 270 mm between the locking rods is required for using the container security lock CR 10. Additionally, the locking rods must not protrude more than 48 mm from the door.
