General Information
Refrigerated containers are available in 20-foot and 40-foot sizes and, in recent years, though very rarely, as new containers in 45-foot length. When equipped with their integrated refrigeration units, they are referred to as "Integral Units" or "Reefers." This has become the typical form of a refrigerated container.
Applications
Sea refrigerated containers are particularly suitable for short to medium-term use, such as:
- Storage for (packaged) food and beverages at events and exhibitions.
- Testing environments for technical equipment (transmissions, vehicles, etc.).
- Expanding the capacity of existing cooling systems.
- Temporary storage during the renovation of existing facilities.
Sizes
Refrigerated containers are available in the standard sizes of 20-foot and 40-foot High Cube. 45-foot High Cube refrigerated containers are only available as new containers.

Due to the relatively complex and universally (internationally) applicable refrigeration units, the operating conditions for long-term continuous use are not ideal (high noise levels, consumption rates, maintenance, service). For permanent usage, we recommend our converted insulated containers (see below).
