General Information
Refrigerated containers are converted based on used insulated containers or new containers with PU foam insulation (only available in 20-foot size). The conversion can be done for both cooling and freezing applications. Typically, we use versatile refrigeration units capable of maintaining temperatures from -25°C to +10°C. An air heater for frost protection is available as an optional feature.
Advantages over sea refrigerated containers ("Integral Unit") in stationary applications:
- Easy operation through a modern control panel (only a few buttons).
- Lower power consumption.
- Reduced noise emissions.
- New unit with manufacturer warranty.
- Lower repair and maintenance costs (through local service providers).
Applications
Refrigerated containers for permanent use are suitable primarily for medium to long-term applications, such as:
- Storage for (packaged) food and beverages.
- Expanding the capacity of existing cooling systems (instead of new construction).
- Testing environments for technical equipment (transmissions, vehicles, etc.).
- Temporary storage during the renovation of existing facilities.
The new containers come with a thicker insulation compared to standard used insulated containers.
Sizes
We exclusively equip 20-foot insulated containers with refrigeration units.
