Bürocontainer mieten - Fragen und Antworten

Whether you need more office space, a mobile site office or a bespoke temporary container facility – anyone looking to hire an office container benefits from maximum flexibility. However, to ensure that everything runs smoothly during set-up and use, there are a few details that need to be clarified in advance. From legal requirements and insulation to the right infrastructure: we’ve compiled the most frequently asked questions from our customers and provided clear answers. Find out more now and learn everything you need to know to rent the right office container safely and transparently.

What can I use a rented residential or office container for?

Rented residential and office containers are particularly suitable for temporary or changing space requirements. Typical applications include construction-site offices, staff and break rooms, meeting rooms, sales units, changing rooms, staff accommodation and temporary extensions to existing buildings.

Let us know how many people will use the container and what functions it needs to fulfil. Finsterwalder will put together a suitable rental solution based on your requirements.

Can I rent residential and office containers on a short-term or long-term basis?

Yes. Finsterwalder rents out residential and office containers for both short-term and long-term use.

The possible rental period depends on the required container type, equipment, location and current availability. Larger and individually planned container complexes are particularly suitable for long-term rental.

The agreed minimum rental period and billing intervals are specified in the individual quotation.

Which sizes and configurations are available for rent?

Different sizes and floor plans can be offered depending on availability. Individual modules with lengths of approximately 10, 15 or 20 feet are particularly common.

If you require more space, several containers can be connected to form a larger complex. Possible configurations include individual offices, open-plan offices, meeting rooms, staff areas or combined office and sanitary facilities.

As the rental inventory changes continuously, Finsterwalder will assess the appropriate configuration individually for your project.

What is included in the equipment of a rented office container?

The equipment depends on the selected model and the agreed scope of the rental. Depending on the model, the standard equipment typically includes a lockable steel door, windows, interior lighting, power sockets, electrical installations, heating and insulated wall and ceiling panels.

The exact equipment included is specified in the technical description and the rental quotation.

Can the rental container be supplied with furniture?

Yes. Depending on your requirements and availability, residential and office containers can also be rented with suitable furniture.

Available items may include desks, office chairs, filing cabinets, shelving, meeting tables, coat racks and lockers. This provides you with a space solution that can be used at short notice without having to organise the furniture separately.

Any required furniture should ideally be specified when submitting your enquiry.

Are heating, air conditioning and additional electrical installations available?

Depending on the model, rented office containers are already equipped with electric heating and basic electrical installations. Additional power sockets, lighting, frost protection heaters, ventilation fans, data connections or air-conditioning systems may be available depending on the project and current availability.

The required power supply depends on the installed equipment. Connection to the power supply at the site must be carried out and inspected by a suitably qualified electrician.

How quickly is a residential or office container available for rent?

Availability depends on the required container type, size, equipment, delivery location and planned rental start date. Depending on the current rental inventory, individual standard containers can often be provided at relatively short notice.

Special equipment or technical additions generally require a longer lead time. Larger, individually configured container complexes are offered exclusively for long-term rental periods and therefore require additional time for planning, preparation and installation.

Once your enquiry has been received, Finsterwalder will check current availability and coordinate the possible delivery date with you.

How much does it cost to rent a residential or office container?

The rental price depends on the container size, equipment, rental period, number of modules and delivery location. Additional charges may apply for transport, crane unloading, installation, dismantling, collection, accessories and, where applicable, final cleaning.

As every project has different requirements, Finsterwalder will prepare an individual, non-binding rental quotation. The services included and any additional costs will be clearly itemised.

How is the rental container delivered and installed?

At your request, Finsterwalder will organise delivery, including unloading and installation. Depending on the size, weight and installation site, the container may be delivered using a suitable crane vehicle.

For larger container complexes, the installation and connection of the individual modules, as well as the provision of steps or platforms, can also be arranged.

The delivery date, scope of services and technical requirements will be agreed with you in advance.

What requirements must the access route and installation area meet?

A sufficiently wide, high and load-bearing access route is required for delivery. The delivery vehicle also needs adequate space for manoeuvring, deploying its stabilisers and unloading.

For the preparation of the installation area, the customer will generally receive a foundation plan, which is usually already included in the technical description. The support points shown in this plan must be prepared accordingly before delivery so that the container can be installed safely and level.

Alternatively, suitable levelling plates may be used if the ground is firm and has sufficient load-bearing capacity. These can be supplied by Finsterwalder by prior arrangement.

Please inform Finsterwalder in advance of any gates, tight bends, fences, trees, overhead power lines or other obstacles. Photographs and measurements of the access route and installation area will help with delivery planning.

Do I need permission to install a rented office container?

Whether permission is required does not depend on whether the container is rented or purchased. The relevant factors include the location, size, intended use, installation period and local regulations.

The customer or project owner is generally responsible for checking the official requirements and obtaining any necessary permits. This should be clarified in good time before the requested delivery date.

Finsterwalder can provide available technical product documents for planning and application purposes.

How do rental extensions, termination and return work?

As a rule, the rental agreement is automatically extended by one additional calendar month at a time. The agreement can be terminated monthly by giving seven days’ notice to the end of the month. The notice of termination should be submitted in writing and include the rental agreement number and the requested end date.

At the end of the rental period, the container must be completely emptied and returned in perfect condition, except for normal wear and tear. Any installations or other alterations made by the customer must be removed and the original condition restored, unless otherwise agreed with Finsterwalder.

The container, access route and required working area must be freely accessible on the agreed return or collection date. Details regarding the return, transport and any possible costs are governed by the individual rental agreement and the General Rental Terms and Conditions of Finsterwalder Container GmbH.
