DESCRIPTION
The Twistlock stacking security device is a proven piece of equipment that has been used for many years with little change. It is designed for the quick and long-term securing of containers stacked on top of each other with cast steel corners (per ISO 1161), preventing them from shifting and firmly connecting them together.
APPLICATION
The Twistlocks are placed in the upper container corners of the lower container. By rotating the lever, the stacking security device is pre-locked at the bottom. After placing the second container, the lever is rotated again to reach its final, securely locked position. The Twistlock creates a projection of 28 mm between the containers. In ship usage, this stacking piece is rarely found (see Semi-automatic Twistlock).
