DESCRIPTION
The bottom twistlock is used for securely positioning and locking containers and other modular steel structures with steel corners (according to ISO 1161). It prevents both the sliding and tilting of the placed structure.
APPLICATION
It is typically inserted into a securely welded dovetail bottom plate (see the next position). However, it could also be directly welded on, although this would be at one's own risk and without manufacturer approval since the material has been heat-treated.
